About
Hi, I’m Cenah, the dreamer behind Dreamscaping Design! From whimsical children’s rooms to moody, art-inspired corners, I love creating spaces that tell stories and spark a sense of wonder.
Dreamscaping Design began as a way to bring my love of creativity, atmosphere, and emotion to life through interiors. My stepmom, Suzy, was the first person who showed me what design could do. She was always repainting or redecorating some corner of our home, and she even took the first steps in starting her own decor business before her battle with cancer cut that dream short. After she passed when I was fifteen, interior design became a way for me to feel close to her, to continue what she started. Every project I take on still carries a piece of her influence and that shared love for transforming spaces.
I grew up in Alaska, where adventure was part of everyday life. I was what I like to call a “free-range kid,” always outside with my sisters and cousins, exploring the woods, riding four-wheelers and snow machines, flying in tiny planes, sleeping on boats in the middle of the ocean, and pulling up to small islands to hunt for treasure and starfish. Growing up in such a wild, isolated place made the rest of the world feel huge and mysterious. It taught me to look for magic everywhere, in nature, in movement, and in the stories hidden inside every space.
Outside of interiors, I love collaging, creating photo art, and designing visuals for music. During covid, I started VJing (like DJing, but with visuals) at small events and outdoor raves, bringing my laptop and projector to create immersive atmospheres. The energy and ambience of rave culture — the lights, the creativity, the sense of connection — deeply inspire how I approach design and storytelling.
Spiritually, I see design as a way to connect to something higher. I want people to feel the magic of life through their spaces — to remember love, creation, and the beauty of being alive. We’re only here for a short while, and our surroundings should remind us how sacred that really is.
I also love highlighting small businesses. There’s something special about supporting people who are following their own creative paths — the makers, dreamers, and innovators who pour their hearts into what they do. Sharing their work allows me to celebrate imagination, inspiration, and the courage it takes to build something from scratch — values that are at the heart of everything I do at Dreamscaping Design.
I earned my diploma from The Interior Design Institute during covid, which helped me refine my craft and turn my passion into purpose.
